Cub Scout Pack 343, based at St. Raphael Church in Morningside, is starting our 2023-2024 program year, and we invite families with boys and girls in grades K-5 to visit us for Scout Like a Pirate Day on Saturday, August 26 at 10:00 am. Scout Like a Pirate Day is a fun day to celebrate Cub Scouting! Kids will be completing pirate-themed adventures with Scouts their age. If you’d like to dress like a pirate, bring pirate flags, or bring other fun decorations, please do! Scout Like a Pirate Day St. Raphael Church, 1154 Chislett Street Saturday, August 26 Grades K-3: 10:00 - 12:00 Grades 4-5: 10:00 - 1:00 Check in will be in the front parking lot, where our volunteers will direct you to your den meeting location. All dens will be meeting outside, so bring a filled water bottle and sun protection. If you haven’t been to St. Raphael before, there’s lots of street parking on Chislett, and there’s also a large parking lot in the back (entrance via Bryant Street). Can’t join us on Saturday? Pack 343 Welcome Night is Wednesday, August 30 at 6:00 pm, and we’ll have information about joining Cub Scouts and a chance to visit with the Pack. Cub Scouting is more than just an activity. It’s adventure, learning, and discovery around every corner.
