While I understand the desire to make it easier to socially distance in the park for runners, walkers, and bikers, I am dismayed at the closure of the access to most of the park by vehicles. This severely limits access to the park for seniors, people with slight mobility challenges that are not severe enough to qualify for handicapped placards, and people from other neighborhoods to enjoy the park. The drop-off option won't be helpful when the driver also has mobility issues. It also limits access to parts of the park further in that are just too far to walk for some of us. Also, while the reservoir walkway is still closed, access is even more limited. I am hoping this closure is temporary until the pandemic is under control. Is there someplace we, as seniors, can voice our concerns as to the impact of this change?
