Hi Neighbors, The agency I work for, ACTION Housing, Inc. is selling cookbooks as a fundraiser. You may have seen my other emails regarding the program I am with, MyPlace who provides transitional housing for youth who have been in foster care and are homeless or at risk of homelessness. ACTION Housing provides all types of housing and homelessness services to individuals and families in Allegheny County, such as for people with disabilities, the blind and/or deaf community, seniors, and so forth. The list goes on! I'll be taking orders for cookbooks and will be able to coordinate drop off/money pick up. The cookbooks will be available after April 13th. The proceeds benefit the Donald Noah Client Assistance Fund (which provides emergency monetary assistance for things like bus passes, Giant Eagle Gift Cards, clothing for a job interview, etc.) and the Social Service GAP Fund (which covers items that are not covered under specific grants, etc. for the residents of our buildings).
