hello everyone. I think the dog block walk is a great idea. Even if our dogs are not vicious, im sure many are protective like my lab retriever. Even if they are gentle giants they still intimidate. And intimidation goes a long way with teenagers and "street thugs".Trust me i know. The truth is, the people tha aret break-in cars and homes are drug dealers and users. And maybe a couple "lost teenagers". Im sure everyone sees the rubber latex gloves and little torn "stamp bags" littered all over our streets. The dealers use the gloves so that they dont get the drug on their hands while packaging or selling. Many dealers are on probation and will test positive from drug contact through skin. And the junkies steal and break in places to feed their addiction.The other night my dog almost stepped on an uncapped syringe across the street from smiling bananna leaf. It was properly taken care of. We definaltly need to have some course of action. Atleast we try. Anyway myself and another are in the process of planning. I am new to highland park and love it here. Id like to see the streets that i walk my dog and daughter on not be covered with broken car window glass. Thank You
