[Highland Park] Neighborhood event: Union Project Unwrapped this weekend
As a follow-up to my invitation last week to Unwrapped, the Union Project's holiday party and fundraiser this Saturday, I received this auction update from Hilary at the UP: Dave Hance President, HPCDC - The Jet Blue round trip flight vouchers are restriction free and are valid for 30 domestic locations and many international destinations like Aruba and Santiago! - We just picked up two gorgeous framed pieces of art and are expecting a sculpture today from Tim Kaulen! - Two stain glass windows created here: One modern, one is traditional - Donated by TABLE Magazine, $100 gift certificate to Le Pommier and $100 in fancy kitchen gadgets and TABLE magazines! - Downtown package: Deluxe room at the Omni William Penn, two vouchers for the Pittsburgh Symphony, $100 to McCormick and Schmidt's and $50 for brunch at Six Penn Kitchen - Memberships to Carnegie Museum, Mattress Factory and tickets to just about every museum, musical and theater performance in the city. The event, besides being a benefit for the Union Project, is going to be a great time. Unwrapped features unique entertainment, original local artwork, and live and silent auctions. The evening will showcase a short performance by the city's young talent with the Neighborhood Academy Balafon West African Drumming and Dance Ensemble. Unwrapped will be emceed by Andrew Stockey, Morning Anchor for WTAE Channel 4 Action News. The live and silent auctions will include gift certificates from local businesses, entertainment packages, travel certificates from Jet Blue airlines, and a custom fitted bicycle. The food is top notch and plentiful. Penn Brewery will be providing all of the beer and Boyd and Blair vodka will be used for the signature cocktails. VIP Happy Hour from 7-8pm will include vodka tasting with Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka, catering by big Burrito, specialty cocktails, live entertainment and an opportunity to personally select decals for a complimentary piece of hand crafted ceramics.
