Dear Neighbors, This Sunday, during the marathon, my two young sons will be running a lemonade stand and selling lemonade, rosewater lemonade, and homemade baklava to raise money for the National Leiomyosarcoma Foundation. LeioMyoSarcoma (LMS) is a rare cancer that affects about four people in every million. It spreads through the blood stream and can affect the lungs, liver, blood vessels or any other soft tissue in the body. Presently there is no cure for this deadly disease, only remission if it can be attained. LMS can reappear anywhere and at any time. The NLMSF funds research to find a cure and promotes awareness of this rare disease. Our stand will be set up just a block south of Bryant on North St. Clair (centrally located from any of the HP marathon vantage points/water stands). Please stop by to support this cause that is near and dear to our family's heart... and stock up on delicious Lebanese pastry! Thanks!
