Thankfully, nobody was struck by the gunfire. A review of the surveillance footage showed two men entering the bar when the suspect began firing in their direction. All parties fled the scene following the shooting. The shooter was described as a black male, 25-35 years-old, 6'1" 175 Lbs, thin build, long hair with bleached ends, wearing a white t-shirt, white zip-up sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and white shoes. He fled the scene in a white SUV, possibly a dodge Durango or a Jeep. (95933) *5/20/19 Burglary - 7100 block Kedron Street, 3:43 AM. *Officers responded to a burglary and arrived to find the front window open. Officers surrounded the house and eventually made contact with the residents. The residents were unaware that they had been burglarized, at which point officers learned that the call came from a passerby who saw two men walking out of the house carrying a large TV. The TV was the only item missing. The entry point appeared to be the unlocked front window. (96034) *5/20/19 Burglary - 7507 Kelly Street (Church of the Holy Cross), 7:45 AM.* The church custodian called 911 after he arrived for work and found the door to a shed in the back of the church had been forced open. Tools and lawn care equipment were stolen. (96133) *5/20/19 Shots Fired - 1000 block Brushton Avenue, 11:40 PM. *Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert and found (5) .45 caliber shell casings in the street. There were no reported injuries or property damage. (96694) *5/22/19 Stolen Vehicle - 8500 block Frankstown Avenue.* A 1999 Mack truck was stolen overnight. The vehicle was left unlocked with the keys inside. It was recovered the following day on Woodruff Street in Zone 3. (97817) *5/23/19 Burglary - 2200 block East Hills Drive. *Victim reported that she was last at her residence on 5/21. When she returned on 5/23. the victim noticed pry marks on her back door and her upstairs bedroom door. A 45" LG TV and various food items were missing. (99563) *5/25/19 Burglary - 7100 block Idlewild Street.* Victim noticed that someone had broken into her basement via a window that was previously broken and now secured with a piece of plywood. Nothing appeared to be missing. (100260) *5/26/19 Theft from Vehicle - 1200 block Nolan Court. *Victim reported that someone entered and ransacked his unlocked vehicle and stole a key. (101009) *5/26/19 Robbery - Blackadore Street & Ferndale Street, 10:00 AM.* Officers responded to 17 Engine house on Hamilton Avenue for a report of a robbery. Officers met with a 72 year-old victim who stated that an acquaintance, known to him only as "Big," gave him a ride to a house on Blackadore Street. When they arrived, "Big" asked the victim to give him $5.00 for the ride. When the victim refused, "Big" attacked him, punching him repeatedly, then stole $80.00 cash from the victim. The victim made his way to the fire station where police were called. The victim was taken to UPMC Presbyterian with lacerations and a possible broken rib. "Big" is described as a black male, dark complexion, 6'3," 295 Lbs, with long hair. He was driving a U-Haul truck. (101015) *Larimer / Lincoln-Lemington* *5/20/19 Theft from Vehicle - 400 block Enright Court. *Victim reported that someone smashed his driver's side window and stole his laptop. (96116) *Bloomfield / Garfield / Friendship* *5/20/19 Robbery - 5200 Penn Avenue (Aldi), 4:43 PM. *An unknown male suspect entered the Aldi and began stuffing items into a backpack. When he attempted to leave without paying, store employees confronted him. The male then pulled out a knife and fled. He was described as a black male, 40-50 years-old, 5'11," 170 Lbs, thin build, scruffy facial hair, wearing a blue short-sleeve Polo shirt, light blue faded jeans, white shoes, and a black tossel cap. He fled on foot towards Lawrenceville. (96448) *5/21/19 Robbery - Broad Street & N. Evaline Street, 3:10 PM. *A 17 year-old male victim reported that he was at the playground when he was approached by three individuals, one of whom pointed a gun at him. The suspects stole his phone and shoes, then fled in silver Ford SUV, driven by a fourth suspect. The victim was not physically injured. (97166) *5/21/19 Robbery - N. Fairmount Street & Broad Street, 3:35 PM.* An 18 year-old male reported that he had just been robbed while walking on Broad Street. The victim reported that two unknown males exited a gray or silver SUV with tinted rear windows, one of them brandishing a black handgun. The men instructed the victim to hand over whatever he had. The victim handed over cash and his iPhone, at which point the men re-entered the car and fled the area. Suspect # 1 is a black male, very dark complexion, in his 20's, with long dreadlocks and a beard. Suspect # 2 is a black male, brown complexion, 5'6" 155 Lbs, thin build, clean shaven, with short dreadlocks. This suspect also had a tattoo of a rose on the right side of his neck. (97201) *5/22/19 Robbery - 4725 Centre Avenue (Dollar General), 12:58 PM.* The store manager called 911 after four people entered the store and began shoplifting. Employees confronted the thieves, at which point a female suspect threatened to pull out a knife and stab an employee if they did not get out of her way. The suspect fled the store after a scuffle. (97407) *5/22/19 Burglary - 400 block S. Atlantic Avenue, 3:40 PM.* Officers responded to a burglary-in-progress and arrived to find that the suspect(s) had already fled. Upon speaking with the victims, officers learned that the the family was asleep when burglars forced their way inside and stole cash and gold. The suspected fled before the family awoke. (98014) *East Liberty / Highland Park* *5/20/19 Robbery - 400 block Omega Court, 5:20 PM.* A 13 year-old victim reported that she was outside with her brother and sister, making a YouTube video, when an unknown teenage male approached and attempted to steal her bicycle. The male started to ride away on the bike when the victims grabbed onto the bicycle. The suspect then lifted his shirt to reveal a firearm tucked into his waistband. The suspect then rode off with the bike. The victim was able to take a photo and video of the suspect as he rode away. Detectives are attempting to identify the male. (96555) *5/22/19 Theft from Vehicle - 100 block N. St. Clair Street. *Victim reported that sometime between 5/16 and 5/18, someone entered his car and stole his iPhone X, clothing, and his driver's license. Victim reported that he may have accidentally left his vehicle unlocked. (97893) *Morningside / Stanton Heights / Waterworks* *5/21/19 Stolen Vehicle - 1000 block Downlook Street. *Victim found that someone stole his 2013 Subaru Forester from in front of his residence. Victim then checked his other vehicle and found that someone entered that car, rifled through the glove box, and stole the spare key to his Subaru. Detectives recovered the car the following day in Larimer. (96899) *5/21/19 Theft from Vehicle - 5400 block Camelia Street.* Victim's checkbook was stolen from his unlocked vehicle overnight. (97029) *5/21/19 Overdose - 4600 block Coleridge Street, 4:51 PM. *A 45 year-old male was found unresponsive with pinpoint pupils. 7 Engine administered Narcan and revived the male, who was then taken to West Penn Hospital in stable condition. (97238) *5/22/19 Overdose - 7300 block Java Way, 10:46 PM. *A 36 year-old male used one bag of heroin and suffered an overdose. He was treated by paramedics but refused to go to the hospital. (98333) *5/23/19 Stolen Vehicle - 1100 block Oglethorpe Avenue. Officers were in the area for a theft report when they noticed an open garage door on the same street. *The officers contacted the homeowner, who check his garage and found that someone stole his 2013 red Ford Fiesta (PA plate KLB-8273). The victim told officers that he left the garage door open and the keys were in the vehicle. (98526) *5/23/19 Theft from Vehicle - 1000 block Oglethorpe Avenue.* Victim reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle overnight and ransacked it. Nothing appeared to be missing. (98512) *5/23/19 Theft from Vehicle - 4700 block Coleridge Street.* Victim reported that someone entered her vehicle overnight and ransacked it. Nothing appeared to be missing. No signs of forced entry. (98550) *5/23/19 Theft from Vehicle - 4700 block Coleridge Street.* Victim reported that someone entered his vehicle overnight and ransacked it. Nothing appeared to be missing. No signs of forced entry. (98556) Crimes listed in the above report include: Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Robbery, Burglary, Arson, Stolen Cars, Thefts from Vehicle, and Overdoses. *We do not list information for car accidents, retail theft, harassment, minor assaults, etc. * *This Week's Notable Arrests* *5/21/19 7:33 PM 1200 block Nolan Court Arrestee: Deandre Olday-Bryant, 25, of Homewood Summary:* Plainclothes officers were patrolling the Homewood North housing development in an unmarked police car, when they observed Deandre Olday-Bryant walking on Mohler Street, Officers are familiar with Olday-Bryant as they responded to a violent domestic the previous night where he threatened his girlfriend with a firearm, then fled the area prior to police arrival. Olday-Bryant also had two outstanding warrants for domestic violence. Officers approached Olday-Bryant and identified themselves and took him into custody. Bryant had a Smith & Wesson .40 caliber pistol tucked into his waistband at the time of his arrest. The firearm was seized. (97446) *5/23/19 2:30 AM Zone 5 Station - 1401 Washington Boulevard Arrestee: Isaiah Alford, 16, of Homewood Summary:* On 5/4/19, we reported on a pizza delivery driver who had been robbed at gunpoint while delivering a pizza to a residence in the 1200 block of Nolan Court, in Homewood. During the robbery, the victim was beaten and sustained a black eye, bloody lip, and swelling to his face. That same night, officers who were patrolling the area stopped a group of young men who matched the description given by the suspect and identified each of them. One of those males was Isaiah Alford, 16. The young men were released pending further investigation. Zone 5 Detective Jeff Wingard took this case. Through his investigation, Det. Wingard was able to determine that Alford was, in fact, one of the suspects involved in the robbery and obtained an arrest warrant for him, charging (1) count of Robbery and (1) count of Aggravated Assault. On 5/23/19, Alford was taken into custody without incident. Due to the serious nature of the crime, he was charged as an adult and taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
