To all: I am concerned that the recent spotting of this lost english mastiff, Samson, "last seen on Mellon in Highland Park" is mistaken for our mastiff, Simba. We live in Highland Park near Mellon. The dogs are both fawn in color. Our dog is five years old, microchipped and those who live in our neighborhood know him well. I am also somewhat concerned about the potential mistaken identity since my mother who was recently walking our dog in the late evening hours was approached by a man in a pickup truck convinced that our dog was the missing mastiff. This was very frightening for my mother. My mother was very calm in explaining that our dog is not the missing dog in question, but it did not appear that the man in the truck believed her. We have lost our 2 year old english mastiff near the intersection of Allegheny River Blvd. and Washington Blvd. He was last seen on Mellon Street in Highland Park. He is fawn colored (very light brown) with a black face. Please if you see him he is very large but very gentle. He could be corner very easily and he would not harm you.
