Thinking of going solar? Join the Allegheny County Co-op!
Solar United Neighbors just launched a new co-op for Allegheny County. I signed up and encourage you to do so if you're considering getting solar panels. Signing up for the co-op does not lock you into any commitment, it just indicates you're interested and want to receive information! The non-profit organization essentially puts out a request for proposals to solar providers and helps co-op members negotiate contracts. It takes the guess-work out of finding someone to install panels and the economy-of-scale in the co-op often results in significant cost savings. I know trying to find contractors to do... literally anything has been a nightmare for me and I'm excited to have an established organization guide me through this process. You can sign up here: https://coops.solarunitedneighbors.org/coops/allegheny-county-solar-and-ev-c... I am not an expert but have been in communication with the org and can help find answers to any questions you may have! -Kathleen
