The recent spotlight on Ferguson, Missouri, Staten Island, New York, Cleveland, Ohio, and elsewhere can serve as a compelling reminder that in every city and community there is an ongoing need to build stronger foundations of communication and trust. Very much aware of the deep and urgent concerns that many are feeling, we at St. Andrew's are beginning to explore what we hope would be a forum for constructive local response. Initially, we would like to plan a program early in the new year, to feature panel discussion and conversation, including public officials and community leaders, to discuss concerns both in the wider frame of American life and in particular here in our diverse East End neighborhoods. This e-mail is to invite anyone in our wider neighborhood who might like to serve on a planning group to pop an e-mail over to me in reply, and I'll be in touch as we schedule a meeting early in the New Year. Blessings, Bruce Robison
