Hello, Thank you again for supporting our fundraiser and keeping your tree out of the landfill! This is, I believe, the 8th year we have been providing this service as a fundraiser for the community and we're so grateful for the way the community has embraced this effort. I have activated the sign up form: https://forms.gle/s8EnS357en5xFQU2A I have also attached a PDF of a flyer with links to the sign ups for the other Girl Scout troops who are collecting. This year we have a much larger range of the city being covered: Highland Park, East Liberty, Shadyside, Point Breeze, Friendship, Larimer, Squirrel Hill North and South, Greenfield, Morningside, Stanton Heights north of Stanton, and Upper Lawrenceville. Just a short note about the suggested donation of $5; it has been important to us to keep the requested donation low so that cost is not a barrier for participation, and we are keeping that request steady. As with so many other costs, the costs of the gas associated with running this fundraiser have gone up, so if you are inspired to throw in a little extra, please know that it is much appreciated and helps support getting these kids out into nature, and testing their limits with challenging and fun activities. Our troop is saving up for some travel, now that they are older. There will be one final group doing collections, the BSA, in Mid and Lower Lawrenceville, Bloomfield, Stanton Heights south of Stanton, and Garfield. Feel free to reach out if you know anyone who might be interested in those neighborhoods and I will send your message to the correct person. And, as always, we would encourage you to recycle your tree, even if you don't participate in this fundraiser.
