Hi Neighbors: Click on the link below to look at photos from the kids' activities held by the HP Childrens' Committee during the first Reservoir of Jazz concert last Sunday. The kids had a great time doing a park scavenger hunt and winning prizes. The funniest item found award goes to Toby, who came back with an actual hairpiece in response to the clue "something hairy" We had a good laugh! Kids also asked questions about items on the list and learned about nature, so this was educational as well as fun. If your kids missed the scavenger hunt, I will be happy to email you the lists. We have a simple one for little kids and a more extensive one for bigger kids. Many thanks to Margie from the Western PA Family Center, who hosted a wonderful craft table where kids made beaded bracelets and necklaces. We are busy planning the relay races for this Sunday but we need some help from you all!! We need a few volunteers at 4:00 p.m to help set up the obstacle courses and then referee the races, etc. at 5:00 p.m. Please call Jana Finder to volunteer: (412) 370-3778. Also, if you have any of the following items to lend, please call Jana today: 2 rakes, 2 basketballs (or similar size balls), 2 large buckets, 2 flat wooden ladders (around 6 ft. long) or 2 portable fire-escape type ladders (with chain or rope holding the rungs together) hula hoops 2 kids play tunnels (or something good to crawl through) 2 (6-8 ft. long) 2x4's (long flat wood to use as a low balance beam) I will come and pick up your items.
