If you are concerned about the increasing amount of gun violence in Pittsburgh and in Allegheny County, join us at a news conference next Tuesday, February 26th, at Children’s Hospital, and learn what you can do to help get illegal handguns off the streets and to make our communities safer.
We are a group of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County residents alarmed by the growing problem of gun violence in our communities. We are committed to working together with our neighbors and friends to advocate for change in our communities and in Harrisburg, our state capital.
We believe we need stronger handgun safety laws in Pennsylvania to protect our neighborhoods and our police officers, who put themselves in harm’s way every day to protect us.
If you believe something must be done to reduce the threat posed by illegal handguns and gun violence, please join us next Tuesday at a press conference at Children’s Hospital, where we will be joined by CeaseFirePA, a statewide non-profit organization working to prevent gun violence in your community and for stronger handgun laws; health-care professionals; gun violence victims; elected officials and others.
