Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Only 11 days away from my second MS Bike Ride!
I've signed up for my second 60 mile Charity Bike Ride for BikeMS--a fundraising ride supporting people affected by MS and helping fuel progress towards research for a cure. I cannot make my donation goal alone and I'd love and appreciate your support as I prepare for this incredible experience.
I will be training, preparing, and working with my team (Team Bacon) along with hundreds of other people in Pittsburgh and thousands of cyclists from all over the country. What will really put power in my pedals is your support and commitment to those impacted by MS.
PLEASE SUPPORT ME TODAY.
I've set a $100 fundraising goal. The money raised will help fund amazing progress in MS research, as well as programs and services that ensure people affected by MS can live their best lives. Some of the funding goes directly into research right here at PITT’s Medical Center.
WHY I CHOOSE TO BIKE.
In 2014 I decided to ride my bike, with a friend, to DC on the GAP and C&O trails. It was 6 days of complete bliss that involved about 60 miles of biking a day. That trip struck a chord in me that biking can change the way people move, interact with the environment, and most importantly change the world-for the better.
I bike every day as a way to commute to work, de-stress, and help change the way that people approach their way of living. However, after witnessing, reading, and understanding that biking is a universal symbol and mode of transportation and recreation that transcends cultures, nations, and language, I see it as the best way to fight whatever cause needs to be won. Through my gift and love for biking, I hope that this MS Bike charity ride will just be a catalysis for me to make a change in the world and for MS.
I personally know avid bikers who have MS and are essentially family to me and so I bike for them, for those who cannot bike, and to the future bikers around the world. You should try it sometime soon, it's fun! Come ride with me!
By following this link I would appreciate any generous donation that you feel comfortable donating.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Anna Tang
