Want to play guitar? I can help you. I have been teaching guitar for 10 years and playing professionally for even longer. My curriculum can be tailored to your individual needs and desires; in other words, I can teach you to play the kind of music YOU want to play. We will learn to play YOUR favorite songs, talk about the technique, tone, and playing style of YOUR favorite guitarists, and explore the chord theory, scales, and time signatures that make those awesome sounds possible. We can cover basic reading skills if you wish, and ALL students will be trained to learn songs by ear and easily jam with others. Playing guitar should be FUN, and if you put the necessary time and energy into it, you will be rewarded with the ability to hear the sounds you love come from your very own fingers! It doesn't matter whether you want to play acoustic or electric; rock, jazz, blues, country, punk, metal or folk; fingerstyle or flatpicking; all you need is a guitar and the desire to learn, and we can explore the infinite possibilities of music.
