Please see the note below from the Commander. You will read about 2 different groups of youths in our section.

There is also a Highland Park story in Notable Arrests.

Subject: ** Zone 5 Community Update: Week of April 18th-24th **

Good afternoon, Zone 5 neighbors!

Attached you will find your Zone 5 Community Crime Update for the week of April 18th-24th.

A friendly reminder that this Sunday, May 1st, is the Pittsburgh Marathon! We have attached a list of road closures by neighborhood just to give you an idea of when the streets in your area will be shut down.

Lastly... with the warm weather, we are starting to see large groups of youth congregating in the street, fighting, and disrupting traffic (See this week's CCU). This is an issue we deal with each Spring & Summer, mainly in East Liberty, and occasionally in Larimer & Highland Park. If you see disorderly groups, it would be most helpful if you would give your name when you call 911. Often there is little we can do with these groups (other than try to move them along) when someone calls 911 but does not want to speak with the police. We want our young people to enjoy themselves this summer, but we want them to do it responsibly... please help us!

Thank you and have a great week... and if you are running this Sunday, GOOD LUCK!

Jason
