Room for rent/small apartment wanted for upcoming school year

A friend of my father is doing a master's program at Chatham this year and is looking for a room for rent or a small apartment where he could live during the week. He will likely spend weekends with his family in Harrisburg. Access to some cooking facilities would be be helpful, but may not be absolutely necessary. Proximity to bus lines and/or easy access to Squirrel Hill/Shadyside a plus.
