Hello Neighbors,
Over the last 5 years, more than 300 trees have been
planted in the Highland Park neighborhood through the Tree
Pittsburgh street tree program. We owe Nancy Levine a big thanks for
her efforts to get the trees donated and for organizing the
plantings.
Now we need to take care of these trees! Initial maintenance is
done by neighborhood volunteers.
The next tree care event will take place on Tues May 21, at 6 PM.
We'll meet at the corner of Heberton and Bryant and will be working
on trees along Heberton, Winterton and Wellesley Road, removing
weeds and dead branches, mulching, and giving the trees some tender
loving care. We'll meet rain or shine.
Jake Milofsky, Tree Pittsburgh Stewardship Coordinator, will be
leading the session from 6 PM to 8 PM. Gloves and paper bags to
collect the weeds and branches and mulch will be provided.
We need your help!

Hope to see you on Tues the 21st!
