The seven books that I pulled from the library are just not cutting it:)!  I need a tutorial on my garden.  I am hoping someone who loves gardening as a hobby would be able to teach me some basics.  We are in a new house in Highland Park and have inherited a perennial garden that is overwhelming.  My idea is that I would be working along with someone sometime in the weekday morning.  Can possibly do a weekend as well.

I would love knowledge on soil, how to cut back (should that be done), options for plants for the garden, how to winterize, etc.
