Last night around 4am there was quite a bit of scuffling noise above my bedroom that couldn't have been caused by any neighbors. Looking outside once it got light out, I found a big hole underneath a gutter from a third-story roof. I think it's most likely a possum, but could be a squirrel, raccoon, rat, bat, or bird. Who should I contact about removing the animal(s) living there before we start repairs; is this an animal control issue?
