This month we will be meeting back at St. Andrew’s church! We will be meeting in the main nave of the church so there will be plenty of room.

The meeting is open to all Highland Park residents – please join us!

At our April meeting, we learned about the water containers available through the project 15206. At this month’s meeting, we will learn about the full 15206 project and what it means to our area.

Also, Carolyn Barber and Rose Smiechowski are starting a new urban harvesting initiative in Pittsburgh called Hidden Harvest.

It borrows on an urban harvesting model popularized by such organizations as Not Far From the Tree (http://www.notfarfromthetree.org/) in Toronto, Canada.  It operates on a very simple model: neighborhood fruit tree owners register their trees, volunteers harvest the fruit and then distribute it equally between owner, volunteers and an organization in need. Come to the meeting and learn more.

Best regards,

Monica
