Hearing
Councilman Patrick
Dowd will host an informational public hearing regarding stabilizing the City pension fund next Wednesday, October 6 at 7:00pm at the Stephen Foster Community Center. Topics to
be discussed include the Mayor’s plan to lease the parking system and alternative
solutions to the pension funding crisis. Another Public Hearing is scheduled in
Council Chambers at the
City of
U.S. Senator Bob Casey recently
announced that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has awarded $3,707,925 to the City of
CHP also provides funding for approved entry-level salaries
and benefits for three years for newly-hired, full-time sworn officer positions
(including filling existing unfunded vacancies) or for rehired officers who
have been laid off, or are scheduled to be laid off on a future date, as a
result of local budget cuts.
