Public Meeting regarding construction of Neighborhood Academy campus The Neighborhood Academy will construct a new facility in Stanton Heights near the intersection of North Aiken and Mossfield beginning this summer. Although this is not in Highland Park, if you live near the southern end of Morningside you may feel some of the impacts, such as construction noise and dust, since they will be working just above Stanton Avenue near where it intersects with Morningside Avenue. In addition, you may see constructions vehicles on Black Street/Mossfield Street, a common route for area residents. So that the public may be more informed about the mission of the school and their design and construction plans, Councilman Dowd has coordinated a meeting with representatives of the Neighborhood Academy, Massaro Corporation (project construction), and Burt Hill (project design). Public Meeting Neighborhood Academy Design & Construction Plans Tuesday, July 27th 7:00pm - 8:30pm The Commons at North Aiken 5330 N. Aiken Court (near intersection of N. Aiken and Mossfield) Please help us to spread the word about this upcoming meeting to your neighbors and any others you feel will be impacted by this construction.
