Hi neighbors,

I vastly overestimated the amount of royal icing I would need for a gingerbread house-making party. We had lots of fun, but I have SO much stuff left:

8 bags of royal icing (I made the icing myself Friday night and filled pastry bags - it has been refrigerated since then and will last at least a week according to the recipe I followed: powdered sugar, egg whites, cream of tartar). This stuff worked great and the pastry bags made it so easy to use! There is enough here for another party...

Lots of wrapped candies

Some wrapped packages of graham crackers. We constructed the houses out of this rather than bake real gingerbread walls.
