These sessions are all about brings cops and kids together and giving them an opportunity to get to know each other on a personal level. Homewood / East Hills
4/27/19 Theft from Vehicle - 7800 Susquehanna Street, 11:15 AM. A 47 year-old male pulled into the parking lot at 7800 Susquehanna Street and observed an unknown black male, 20-26 years-old, 5'6," dark complexion, thin build, in a black hooded sweatshirt, riding a BMX-style bike, trying handles to car doors in the lot. The victim confronted the male, who responded by asking him "You want to see something?" The suspect then displayed a firearm. The victim got back into his car and left the area. This incident was not reported until two days after the fact. (80937)

5/1/19 Theft from Vehicle - 1200 block Mohler Street. Victim's debit card was stolen from her vehicle overnight. No signs of forced entry. (81825)

5/1/19 Theft from Vehicle - 1300 block Heart Court. Victim found her vehicle ransacked but nothing appeared to be missing. No forced entry noted. (81609)

5/2/19 Aggravated Assault - 2100 block Park Hill Drive, 12:01 AM. Officers responded to an apartment complex on Park Hill Drive several times on this date. At 4:27 AM, officers responded again and were told that someone from one of the apartments had pulled a gun on them. Officers went to that unit and found the door ajar. Officers conducted a protective sweep in order to check for possible victims and found that the apartment was vacant. A pistol grip shotgun was observed in one of the bedrooms. A few officers secured the apartment while another officer left to prepare a search warrant for the premises. While waiting for the officers to return with the warrant, resident Micah Randall-Turner, 22, arrived at the apartment. Officers explained the situation and told her that she could not enter the apartment until it had been searched. Randall-Turner attempted to push her way past officers and began kicking them in order to get into her apartment. This did not work out well for her. Randall-Turner was placed under arrest. Once officers returned with the search warrant, a thorough search of the apartment was conducted. In addition to the Remington shotgun, officers also found boxes of ammunition, a large bag of marijuana, drug packaging materials, and over $1,300.00 cash. (82305)

5/2/19 Robbery (Domestic) - 1000 block Brushton Avenue, 2:00 AM. A 26 year-old female victim reported that she was involved in an argument with her boyfriend, Grayan Dixon, 27, of Penn Hills. The argument turned violent and Dixon punched the victim in the face, then shattered her bathroom mirror, before stealing her cell phone so she could not call 911. A neighbor called 911 but Dixon was gone when police arrived. The victim sustained facial injuries. Officers have applied for an arrest warrant for Dixon. (82227)

5/2/19 Robbery - Susquehanna Street & Clawson Street, 7:40 AM. A 35 year-old female victim reported that she was walking in the area when two males and one female who were walking behind her grabbed her purse and attempted to flee. A scuffle ensued and the robbers threw the victim's purse to the ground but stole cash from it before they ran off. The victim was not injured. Officers pulled camera footage from the area at the time of the shooting but it did not show a robbery taking place. Investigation is ongoing. (82359)

5/3/19 Firearms Recovered - Fleury Way & Zenith Way, 3:44 AM. Officer Edmonds was patrolling the area around Club Secrets when he noticed two suspicious males in the park across the street from the club. Officer Edmonds drove towards the males to investigate further. As soon as he exited his vehicle, both men fled on foot. Officer Edmonds could see that the men were running with what appeared to be rifles in their hands. The men were able to elude capture but discarded their firearms as they ran. Officer Edmonds recovered an AK-47 and an AR-15 from the park. Both firearms will be sent for fingerprints and forensic testing. (83066)

5/4/19 Theft from Vehicle - 700 block N. Lang Avenue. Victim reported that his wallet and other personal effects were stolen from his unlocked vehicle overnight. (84025)

5/4/19 Robbery - 1200 block Nolan Court, 12:21 AM. Zone 4 officers responded to a pizza shop in their district for a report of a delivery driver who had been robbed. A 25 year-old male victim reported that he was on a delivery about an hour earlier when he was robbed on Nolan Court. The victim indicated that when he arrived with the food, he was approached by four teens, who stated that they were short on money. The teens asked the victim to follow them so they could get more money. When the victim refused, one of the suspects pulled a gun and demanded all of the driver's belongings. The other males then punched and kicked the victim, stealing all of his cash before fleeing. Zone 4 notified Zone 5 and officers went to Nolan Court, where they eventually located and detained two teens that matched the description given by the victim. This is an active investigation and updates will be given if/when an arrest is made. (83775)

5/1/19 Stolen Vehicle - 6500 block Deary Street. Victim reported that her 2006 Ford Escape was stolen overnight. The victim recovered the vehicle (unoccupied) in Homewood on May 2nd. (81538)

5/2/19 Burglary / Stalking (Domestic) - 6900 block Lemington Avenue, 11:35 PM. A 33 year-old female victim called 911 to report that an ex-boyfriend, Jeffrey Deakings Jr, 33, of Highland Park, was trying to break into her home. Officers arrived and searched the home but found that Deakings had already fled the scene. Officers did find signs of forced entry into the home. The victim told officers that she saw a man banging on her front door. As soon as she realized it was Deakings, the victim ran upstairs and called 911. She went on to explain that Deakings has a history of stalking her, threatening to kill her, and posting things about her on social media. Officers have applied for an arrest warrant for Deakings. 4/28/19 Burglary - 5400 block Black Street, 8:43 PM. Victim arrived home from a trip to Philadelphia and found her vehicle missing and the front window to her home open. When she went into the residence, the victim noted that her car keys and an expensive necklace were missing. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence and the victim believes she may have left the window unlocked.  The following day, the victim received a call from McKeesport Police, informing her that her vehicle was recovered and the driver had been arrested. 4/29/19 Theft from Vehicle - 5500 block Broad Street. Victim returned to her car this morning and found the interior in disarray. Her wallet containing her ID and credit cards had been stolen. No signs of forced entry into the vehicle and the alarm did not go off. (80019)

4/30/19 Aggravated Assault (Domestic) - 4800 Friendship Avenue (West Penn Hospital), 3:37 PM. A 21 year-old victim reported that her boyfriend, Shawn Flowers, 19, of East Hills, stopped by her work at West Penn Hospital. The victim and Flowers were outside the hospital when he took her phone, threw it to the ground, then began punching her repeatedly and threw her to the ground. Flowers fled the scene. Security footage showed Flowers attacking the victim. The victim sustained a head injury and was evaluated in the ER. Officers have filed for an arrest warrant for Flowers. (81090)

5/4/19 Theft from Vehicle - 5300 block Mossfield Street. Victim reported that someone ransacked her vehicle overnight. No signs of forced entry. Nothing appeared to be missing. (83937)

5/4/19 Theft from Vehicle - 4700 block Cypress Street. Victim reported that music CD's and loose change were stolen from her unlocked car overnight. (83963)

4/30/19 Burglary - 1100 block Heberton Street. Victim reported leaving her home around 7:30 AM. When the cleaning people arrived at 12:00 PM, they found a broken window in the rear of the home and the back door wide open. Cash, a camera, and jewelry were missing. (80970)

4/30/19 Burglary - 6600 block Jackson Street. Victim reported leaving his home around 7:30 AM. When he returned around 5:30 PM, he found his back door ajar. There were signs of forced entry noted to the back door. An X-Box game system and jewelry were stolen. (81164)

4/30/19 Theft from Vehicle - 6231 Penn Avenue (Target), 1:30 PM. Victim entered Target to go shopping at 1:30 PM. When he returned to his vehicle around 3:00 PM, he noticed that his leather laptop case and his Dell laptop had been stolen from his vehicle. No signs of forced entry. (81092)

5/3/19 Aggravated Assault - N. Highland Avenue & Broad Street, 4:30 PM. A 21 year-old female victim reported that a known acquaintance, Elijah Johnson, approached her after getting off of a bus, and struck her in the head with a blunt object. The victim suffered a laceration with profuse bleeding and was taken to the hospital where she received ten stitches. Officers will obtain an arrest warrant for Johnson once they are able to ascertain the rest of her biographical information. (83480)

Arrestee: Rodney Howard, 53, of Larimer
Summary:
State Parole officers were conducting a compliance check at the home of Rodney Howard and notified Zone 5 officers after they found Howard in possession of a loaded firearm, Klonopin pills, large bags of marijuana, and nearly $7,000.00 cash. Additionally, the serial number had been filed-off of the gun. Howard will be charged with violating his parole and new charges will be filed for firearms violations as well as misdemeanor and felony drug offenses. (81579)

Arrestee 1: Isaac Waller, 23, of Homewood
Arrestee 2: Don Roberts, 22, of Penn Hills

Summary:
Officer Cochran was on patrol in Homewood when he passed a white Chevy Tahoe that was traveling at a high rate of speed. Officer Cochran observed the vehicle driving in a reckless manner and attempted to make a traffic stop. The driver (Waller) and passenger (Roberts) fled from the vehicle on foot, leaving the SUV in gear. Back-up officers arrived quickly and were able to spot both men as they fled. Officers Edmonds, Seaburn, and Pernelli detained Waller and Roberts. Upon searching the vehicle, officers found two loaded firearms in the car. A Glock model 22 and a Glock model 27 were recovered. Officers learned that the Glock 27 had been reported stolen in a burglary in Braddock. Officers also noted that Waller had nearly $4,000.00 cash on him at the time of his arrest. Both men were transported to the Allegheny County Jail. Waller was charged with several firearms violation, Receiving Stolen Property, and multiple Vehicle Code violations. Roberts was charged with Receiving Stolen Property. (83874)
