7PM-10PM | IMAGEBOX - 4933 PENN AVE.
Birch Trees: A series of oil paintings on canvas by Mia Tarducci Henry. This series began in the Spring of 2008. What began as a challenge for the artist to paint from nature (having had all her previous works be figurative or abstract) quickly evolved into a passion to develop a variety of textural and technical processes with the birch tree as a connective theme. The creative development has been made possible by imagining the moods within the varying stands of birches. The results of this awareness are uniquely different from piece to piece and each one plays a role in informing the direction of the next painting. The continually evolving nature of this series and the wide and varied opportunities it opens permits the artist wide range to explore this exciting direction in her art.
