The Highland Park Garden Club is pleased to announce an exciting program line up for 2022, starting with a Zoom presentation on February 19 at 10 am about "Winter Seed Sowing" (directly to outside soil!) by Miriam Cheng of Wild Child Native Gardens and co-founder of the Western PA chapter of Wild Ones.

 

As always, programs are free for members; a $10 donation through Eventbrite is suggested for non-members. Everyone is welcome to join the Club.

All types of seeds can be winter sown outdoors after the Winter Solstice.  This presentation will explore visuals, cold hardiness and cold stratification as well as reduction in seed loss, mini greenhouse seed germination, clumping vs. seed packet instructions, natives and perennial seeds, difficult seeds, herbs, veggies, exceptions to the rules.
