An Apple TV thingie makes it possible to stream whatever is on your apple computer screen onto your big tv screen.  Watch Netflix, use apps, or write that dissertation.  

I used this one time (it works perfectly), and then decided that I didn't it after all.  By then, it was too late to return it to Groupon.  Yours for $50.

Here's a review of the difference between this refurbished 2012 model and the newer 2015 model.  Biggest difference: price!

But the 2012 version reviewed here -- now priced at $69 remains the steal of the bunch. Consistent software updates have kept it a worthy option for streaming video to any HDTV. It delivers video streaming support for Netflix, Hulu Plus, HBO Go (and HBO Now), MLB.TV, and many other providers.
