I'm posting for a friend of mine who is moving and looking for someone to take over his lease or sublet from him. He lives in a really lovely 1 bedroom in the Southside Slopes. The price is very affordable for a 1 bedroom (605!).

Maybe you've never considered this area before, but I want to put in a plug for it. There's some great coffee and food walking distance from his place (http://www.blackforgecoffee.com/) and (https://www.onionmaiden.com/) for example.  Also close to city steps, and it's easy to get to south side amenities (10-15 minutes walk down the hill). Also on the 54 bus line, and a short walk to the 51 which beats the pants off any of the 71's in terms of getting downtown. I have had a handful of friends move up there since being priced out of the East End, and there's a nice sense of community brewing up there. Also, great views and nice parks.

Because he's working on a bit of a time crunch, he also wanted me to mention that if you refer this apartment to a successful tenant (one who either sublets or takes over the lease), you will receive a $150 reward!
