On Sat., Aug. 19, please join us for “Building Community to Protect & Empower Youth and Families” community summit on the campus of PTS. The summit will include workshops, lunch, entertainment, and community dialog with youth, parents, and community organizers. We’ll discuss what we can do in our different contexts to promote youth and families and to discourage violence. See the attached flyer for more information. The event is free and open to all! This summit is co-sponsored by the Metro-Urban Institute of PTS, the Black Political Empowerment Project, Greater Pittsburgh Coalition Against Violence, and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.
Please email cav.pgh@gmail.com if you plan to attend so that organizers can have an accurate headcount for food. See you there!
