Dear Neighbors: I hope you'll excuse this slightly-heavier-than-usual post. I recently learned that my position is being eliminated and I'd like to ask your assistance in finding a new job, in the hopes of staying here in the city and neighborhood that I love. I've been a practicing attorney for twenty years. I grew up here in Pittsburgh, went to college at the University of Notre Dame and law school at the University of Chicago, and was a litigator in private practice -- primarily in Chicago and Washington, DC -- before being recruited back to Pittsburgh four years ago by UPMC to assume the position of Associate Chief Legal Officer. Unfortunately, following management and legal department restructurings, my position is being eliminated at the end of our fiscal year (June 30, 2011). I thus find myself in the job market, with a date certain by which I’ll need to move on. Ideally, I'd like to find a relatively senior in-house legal, compliance or strategy- or risk management-focused business position. I'm flexible as to industry, since both my private practice experience and my focus at UPMC (major litigation and regulatory matters, compliance, corporate governance, risk management and strategic direction) are applicable across sectors. As for location, my first choice would be to stay here in Pittsburgh. However, I recognize this might not be possible in today's economy, and am willing to relocate for the right opportunity. I'd be happy to forward my resume, a representative case list from my private practice days or any other information that might be helpful. Best wishes, and thank you in advance for any help you can provide. Leah J. Domitrovic
