The Envision team is excited to share that we are officially a silver level charity for the Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon 
Run for a Reason Charity Program!
 
What does that mean?
The Run for a Reason Charity Program allows individuals to register for one of the Pittsburgh Marathon’s races (kid’s marathon, 5K, half marathon, marathon, etc.) and sign-up to fundraise for a charity!
 
How to register…
  1. Register for the 2023 UPMC Health Plan Pittsburgh Half Marathon. During the registration process, indicate the following:
    • You want to run on behalf of an official Run for a Reason charity partner
    • The charity you are supporting- Envision Blind Sports
  2. Set up your fundraising page and tell your friends and family about your goals
  3. Raise money to help support our athletes and organization!
 
Want to run for free?
If you select to fundraise for Envision Blind Sports, you will be eligible for a refund on your registration fee (essentially earning a FREE registration!). In order to receive a refund, you must raise a minimum amount of money for the organization. Fundraising minimums vary by event and are listed below.
§  Marathon- $500
§  Half Marathon- $400
§  Marathon Relay- $1000
§  5K- $150
§  Kid’s Marathon- $50
§  Toddler Trot- $50
§  Pet Walk- $50

The Envision team would like to encourage you to sign-up and help support our organization! Whether you run, walk, do the half marathon, 5k or just want to fundraise- we appreciate any and all ways to fundraise!
 
If you are not interested in participating in a race but want to help, we will also need volunteers for various duties before and during the race!
