A friend of mine just called me to recount an attempted assault on Thursday evening on Jackson/Negley. After she got off the bus and crossed the street, four African-American teenagers, assaulted her, asked her for money and took her bags of groceries. After realizing that her keys were in her purse, she asked them to at least return her keys so she could get into her apartment. Strange enough they returned all her belongings to her and left.

She didnt report it to the police because she is grateful that nothing worst happened and that the kids had a conscience. However, to me, its not the outcome - but the principle. Do take care at night, and please don't take for granted that everyone is going to be that conscientious.
