We have a solid wood futon frame for sale - $100, obo.  I'd wanted to post it here first, before putting it on craigslist. 

-light-colored wood with natural finish (see photo, attached)

-Frame is in excellent shape - I noticed only one tiny nick in the arm when checking it over.  

-Wood slat base provides better mattress support than a metal futon frame, making it more comfortable for sleeping and sitting. 

-Use as a couch, a bedframe or both. 

-Disassembles into four large pieces for easy moving, making it perfect for a third floor apt or attic guestroom

-Purchased from the Options Futon Shop on South Side a little over 10 years ago.  

-Frame only. Mattress in pic is not included.  Any standard full-size futon mattress should fit fine (You can get futon mattresses at Ikea for anything from $70 to $150).

-Cash only - you pick up from our home in Highland Park. I'll help with taking it apart and loading it.
