Locally Grown Produce Available in Highland Park

Get just-picked produce and freshly made goods from local farms every week by joining the Penn’s Corner Farm Alliance Community Support Agriculture (CSA) program.

As a CSA Member, you’ll get a box of seasonal farm-fresh produce delivered to a residential pick-up spot in Highland Park. Not only will you be supporting local farms, but you’ll get a share of the best local produce throughout the growing season.  You can purchase shares for 10 weeks, 20 weeks, or 30 weeks from April through the end of October.

The cost of a share is about $23 a week and includes seven to nine items. In summer, a CSA box features produce like heirloom tomatoes, melons, sweet corn, raspberries, zucchini, peppers, blueberries, beans, and cucumbers. In autumn, the boxes will have other seasonal favorites like potatoes, winter squash, garlic, lettuce, apples, carrots, and leeks. Other specialty items like portabella mushrooms, free-range eggs, cheese, and honey are regularly included from local farms. Fruit is included every single week!

To download a brochure and membership form and see the list of neighborhood pick-up spots, visit www.pennscorner.com and click on the “CSA” tab at the top. For more information, call (412) 363-1971 or email pennscorner@gmail.com.
