Note to moderator (Hi Bob!): I would expect a message like this to be handled without sending to the list, but since it's been sent... perhaps these responses will be useful to others as well.
Hi, I am a Highland Park person and have contributed to this list before so I wondered why I was getting message saying I was a non-member. The only thing I could think of was that I was using a different e-mail. [...].
Hi Janet, You did in fact subscribe using a different address. That's all "membership" so far as the Highland Park Neighborhood list is based on--what address you used when you subscribed. And all you get for your "membership" is a copy of each message delivered to your INBOX. You do not need to be a member of the list to post. That's one of the reasons we have a moderator. (Hi again, Bob :)
Also, pre Thanksgiving I sent a message compiled of transcriptionist suggestions I received from the neighborhood. That still hasn't been posted. Can you please correct what's going on, and let me know what the problem was too.
That is really a question for the moderator (Hi Bob :). *All* messages are held pending review of the moderator. Sometimes there are mail delays and sometimes the moderator needs to take a day off for Thansgiving dinner. The list is run by volunteers--and not many of them, so there can be times when no one is available to review pending posts. I see that your message has made it through. HTH, Rudy
