PARENT + CHILD MEDITATION      Saturday, June 2, 10 am  |  $20 for one parent/child pair
It seems that every day a new study talks about the benefits of meditation. When a child slows down and meditates, they also get to experience a sense of calm and wonder that is quickly being lost in age of stress (yep, kids feel it too!). In this workshop, we will offer some tools and techniques for both kids and parents to learn how meditation and mindfulness help to reduce stress, improve focus, process emotions, and develop a deeper sense of who they are. Please wear comfortable clothes that both parents and kids can move and breathe easily in.

This practice is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body, breath, and mind.  Through a combination of gentle stretches, restorative postures, breathing (pranayama), deep relaxation, and meditation, we gently melt stress away.   This all levels class is appropriate for every body, including seniors, in addition to students who simply prefer to move at a slower pace. Individualized instruction and modifications are given to accommodate students with chronic symptoms such as muscle or joint pain, stiffness, weakness, or fatigue. Please note that if you are suffering from major medical issues, please contact Kristie to discuss them so that she can help assess whether this class or a private session might be a better way to serve you. **Please bring a yoga mat, pillow or bolster, and a thin blanket.**
