In December 2022, The Pittsburgh Food Policy Council (PFPC) and the Food Justice Fund (FJF) Committee successfully campaigned for the City of Pittsburgh to establish a Food Justice Fund. City Council designated $3 million to its 2023 budget to create the Fund. Next week, the FJF Committee will submit its proposed plan for the grant program for City Council approval. Once approved, we are one step closer to launching the first-round of grant funding designated to create community-led, equitable food systems and address food apartheid!

See the attached flier for more information on the the FJF program. The document also contains three QR codes linking to a City-hosted FJF survey, additional information about the FJF, and a mailing list to receive FJF updates. The backside of the document features project ideas to help inspire those interested in applying for funding.
