The 3 acre garden has over 1,800 roses, perennials beds, an herb garden, a butterfly garden and a water pond. This lovely garden has over 1,800 roses, making it the second largest rose garden in Pennsylvania. The rose garden has been maintained by the Garden Club of McKeesport since 1939. It has been voted one of the top All American Rose Selection (AARS) rose gardens in America. A member of the Garden Club of McKeesport will lead our tour.

There is a free parking lot beside the Rose Garden. We’ll meet at the Clubhouse, which is at the parking lot, at 11 am.  Carpooling is encouraged. Please mention in your RSVP if you are able to offer a ride (and for how many people), or if you would like a ride. The list of drivers and riders will be circulated so that individuals can make their own connections for transportation.

For those who are interested, a reservation has been made for an optional post-tour lunch at The Betsy Shoppe, a 100 year old Victorian house that offers a unique dine in experience and shopping available with 3 floors and 13 rooms of specialty treasures and gifts. (click here for restaurant website) adjacent to the nearby GAP trail. Spots are limited. If you’d like to attend the lunch, please mention this in your RSVP.
