Construction Junction will also accept electronics and other hard-to-recycle items.  Drive in to the dock area; there is usually someone there who can accept your materials from your car.

Hello Neighbors!

Hard to recycle items is a frequent theme for the community. Although Robinson is a haul, it may be worth it if you have multiple items or if 1 person takes items for multiple people.

 

Recycle Electronics, Polystyrene, & Other Hard to Recycle Items Oct. 5 at The Mall at Robinson

 

Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) and partners will sponsor a Hard to Recycle collection on Saturday, October 5, from 9 am to 1 pm., at the Mall at Robinson, Allegheny County.  Click here to view the event flyer.

Accepted for free: Polystyrene packing material, computers, cell phones, ink/toner cartridges, and small appliances.

THE FOLLOWING FEES APPLY TO TV's and CFLs:

  • TV's - first 2 free, each additional:
    • 25" or smaller $10 each
    • 26" or larger $15 each.
  • CFL bulbs - first 5 free - $1 each additional

For a nominal fee 

paper for shredding, alkaline batteries, fluorescent tubes, small Freon appliances and other items will be accepted. Click here for a detailed list of materials and prices.

 

 NEW FOR THIS EVENT: Used vegetable/cooking oil (in original container with screw on lid, no animal fats) will be accepted for FREE.
