Lesson planning and fundraising – part time staff
Earthen Vessels Outreach is looking to hire a part time
employee for fundraising and lesson planning.

Duties would primarily include:
- Planning short, creative
lessons for afterschool programs
- Assessing students for
knowledge and academic progress
- Managing documentation and
records related to afterschool programs
- Individual donor
fundraising efforts, including email and phone communications, creating
new initiatives, and donor development
- Other fundraising related
items including newsletter, database maintenance, and website updates
Qualifications:
- EVO is a faith based
non-profit, we seek out difficult and challenging children, and we stick
with them when they act out and misbehave.
We are looking for someone who is excited about all of those
things.
- We work with troubled and
complicated children, an ideal team member will be creative, flexible, and
willing to try (and fail in) many things to find success.
- We tackle challenging
problems as a team, and while most people have defined roles, a
willingness to support and work in other areas is a plus.
- This job is primarily
defined by goals, and not specific duties and tasks - an ability to be
self motivated in creating solutions is critical.
- While lesson planning
experience is not a must, some form of experience with children is
necessary to inform the planning process.
- An excitement for
communicating with donors and potential donors, on the phone, in person,
and through printed and digital mediums
- Strong skills in writing,
ability to produce print and web based materials
Hours and compensation
This position will start at 15-25 hours per week,
compensated at $8-12/hour depending on experience and qualifications. There is potential to grow into a full time
position with a higher salary and benefits depending on performance and
interest.
