Before you spray, be aware that they spay is likely to harm you more than the bugs will. They are harmless, though annoying. In the summer they are beneficial insects that eat garden pests. In the winter they come in from the cold. They don't bite, multiply or eat anything while in your house. In the spring they go back out. They smell bad if you squish them. They come in through not well sealed windows and doors, so caulking next summer will help prevent them from getting in next fall.

Subject: [Highland Park] What to do about a stink bug infestation

Hi neighbors,
I have had an infestation of Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs (known as Halyomorpha halys) in the past and got rid of them simply by vacuuming them up only to have them show up after another hatch. I have read that they are resistant to insecticides and are virtually indestructible returning soon after professional extinguishers. Does anyone have a good method for getting rid of them? They have traveled back with my parents and now have taken over in their home (both inside and outside).
Any advice would be appreciated and thank you,
Christine
