Good afternoon, neighbors!

As I mentioned when I sent out last week's Community Crime Update, we have seen an uptick in the number of burglaries and theft-from-autos in recent weeks. 

Zone 5 is currently working on a plan, along with our detectives at Major Crimes, to address these issues. In the meantime, there are things YOU can do to lessen the chances that you will become a victim of one of these crimes.

I have attached some helpful hints to deter burglars. As for the theft-from-autos, I cannot stress enough how important it is that you always, ALWAYS lock your car doors and never leave anything in plain sight!  Most of our thefts are from unlocked cars.
