Hi neighbors !!!

 

I wanted to introduce myself to you and  invite you to two art exhibits I'm participating in this fall . Both have already started but you can stop by either if you're in the area

 

I'm a weaver and fiber artist and a teaching artist through the Pa Council on the Arts through the Pgh Center for the Arts. I make art to wear clothing and accessories ,quilts, hand made felt and sculptural wall hangings and sell my work at the Pa Center for the Arts shop  at  5th and Shady and  The Society for Contemporary Crafts on Smallman St in the strip.

 

Im the artist in residence at WInchester Thurston and am also having an exhibit called "Messages From the Cloth in their beautiful gallery The dates are from Aug 27 - Nov 6. The gallery is open  during regular school hours from 8-4 pm. Just let the receptionist know that you would like to see the exhibit in the gallery and please take a look at our 10 ft felted tree made by the 6 th graders earlier this year on the second floor.

 

Im also one of 6 artist participating  in another exhibit called "Tending My Mothers Garden" at Sweetwater Center for the Arts in Sewickley. This is the 16 th annual Mavuno Festival, it continues from Sept 21 - Nov 2 during gallery hours . There are many exciting events that accompany this exhibit , please feel free to look up Sweetwater Arts Center.
