[Highland Park] Tips for summer get away?

Hi, we are still fairly new to Pittsburgh and we are looking for a summer get away spot not too far away (max. around 5 hrs.). We are looking for something as close to water as possible, kids friendly and affordable. Any suggestions, experiences? many thanks! kirsten.runge@gmail.com
