Yesterday, we dug up our iris and divided them, resulting in over 80 tubers.    Available on the curb at 6020 Wellesley Ave, uphill side from Highland, 3rd house on right.     Bring a bag and perhaps take a limit of 10?

Plant fairly soon:

1.  I think it is ok to use scissors and trim the roots to about 5 inches.      Otherwise it is difficult to get the many long roots into the hole you dig.

2.    Dig a hole deep enough to bury the roots, see #4.

3.   If you have some bulb fertilizer like "Bulb Tone" put about 1 tsp. in each hole and mix it in.    It might help with a deeper flower color (?)

4.  Lay the tuber horizontally in the hole, and cover with soil.   But leave the top of the tuber just visible above the soil.

Space 3-4 inches apart as they will multiply.    Water.

Lots of instructions are online too, of course.
