Here are the responses I got for washing-machine repair recommendations:

-Don's Appliance in E.Lib.  and they are elsewhere around the city. Sales and service.

-Action Appliance is good.

-Jim Wadding Washer and Dryer - 412-421-2368.  I have used him about 3 times.  Nice guy. Prompt and professional and reasonably priced.

Jim Wadding is very good.  

-very high on Jim Pardini. Came when he said he would & informed us our dishwasher was under recall, so we got a new one.
