The kickoff event will feature fiction from noted author Steve Sherrill, poetry from acclaimed poet Alessandra Lynch and creative non-fiction from Pittsburgh's own Kris Mamula. The UPWords kickoff event will also feature music from singer/songwriter Martha Jane and hip hop from local legend Omar Abdul.
