The Highland Park Community Council is hosting a District 7
City Council Seat Candidates Forum on Thursday, October 17 from 7:30pm to 9:00pm
at the Union Project, 801 N. Negley Ave. All five candidates for Patrick Dowd’s
seat will be participating.
The five candidates are:
Tony Ceoffe of Lawrenceville
Tom Fallon of Morningside
Deb Gross of Highland Park
David Powell of Morningside
James Wudarczyk of Bloomfield
The event will be facilitated by the League of Women Voters
of Greater Pittsburgh. Carol Emerson, past president of the League, will be the
moderator.
Submit your questions in advance or at the event: All
District 7 residents may submit questions prior to the event via Twitter
(#D7Forum), the HPCC Facebook page or the HPCC email editor@highlandparkpa.com. Questions from
the audience attending the event will be submitted in written form on notecards
that will be made available to all guests.
Our goal at the HPCC is to function in an unbiased and
non-partisan manner for all of Highland Park. We strive to have good
relationships with all candidates and elected officials so that we can ably
serve the community. Per our bylaws, the HPCC has not and will not be
endorsing any candidate for any office in the City of Pittsburgh. We instead
prefer to provide a forum for our members and friends in the communities
surrounding our neighborhood to meet all candidates and develop their own
opinions.
I recommend that you attend this important neighborhood
event.
Best
regards,
Monica
