Do you want to vote by mail in Allegheny County?

Online

Registered voters can apply to vote by mail-in ballot in an election  with a valid PA driver’s license or photo I.D. from the PA Department of Transportation (PennDot).

By Mail

Beginning 50 days before an election, voters can download a mail-in ballot application form votespa.com. Print, complete, sign, and deliver or mail the application to your county election office .

In-Person

Beginning 50 days before an election, voters can stop by a county election office to apply in person. If the county’s ballot is finalized and available, you may request and promptly receive your mail-in ballot. Find a county election office near you .

If I think I've already signed up to automatically receive mail-in ballots, how do I make sure?

If you checked the box for a “permanent” mail-in ballot, then you will automatically receive the ballot in November.

You can look it up online using the state’s ballot tracker to determine if you have an application on file.

In the alternative, you can call the Elections Division at 412.350.4500 or email your name and voting address to electionscontact@alleghenycounty.us and we’d be happy to look it up to determine if you did select that option.
